Core Temp is a unique temperature monitoring system build for processors. It runs through every core of the processor and gives a detailed report of its running temperature. It also displays basic information about the status of processor.
Each processor has a built-in Digital Thermal Sensor (DPS). Core Temp extracts data from it to monitor the temperature under different workloads.
Core Temp is compatible with Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10, 2003 Server, 2008 Server and 2012 Server. It works for Intel, AMD and VIA x86 based processors. This software is user friendly. It is easy to operate and shows a large degree of customisation. It allows plugins which enable users to expand the operations and functions of this software.
It is also available in a modified, modern gadget form. Core Temp Gadget displays the readings in a precise yet colourful form. It features graph forms for fluctuating temperture depiction, listing processor load as well as memory utilization of the processor. The graph displays three different coloured lines, for core temperature, load and activity and RAM use respectively. The colourful readings can be adjusted by the user.
Core Temp does not interrupt other operations of the processor. It can be left running, in a minimised window, and it would still be carrying out its hardcore temperature analysis. You can easily do your other tasks in the meanwhile. When it is opened back, it would display a detailed report of the the highest temperature your processor reached. Core Temp asks for administrative rights before running. This is because it has to intrude into the processor information to get the right readings. The Gadget form can easily be kept wherever you want it on your computer, be it desktop or taskbar.
Core Temp alerts the user when the temperature values have turned critical. This allows the user to take rapid safety measures to protect the processor from overheating.
