DownThemAll or simply dTa is an easy-to-use yet powerful Firefox extension which enhances the capabilities of the browser. With this software, the user can download every image or link on a webpage and the best thing is that the downloads can be refined – the user can select what he/she wants to download.
It meets all the requirements of an efficient download manager and has various amazing features like it increases the download speed by 400 percent, any time pause and resume of downloads, and it successfully integrates into Firefox. It can be accessed with just a right click on any website’s page, from the ‘tools menu’, or by adding its icon in the toolbar.
Its feature named “select links” allows to select and download every image, link or embedded object on a webpage. It is beneficial when a user wants to download large number of files in few seconds. It has a feature dTaOneClick which downloads a page’s files using last filters. This software has made filtering a really easy task – the personal filters available in it can be tweaked by user and the selected files can be downloaded faster.
Moreover, a user gets the option to auto-rename the downloaded files according to his/her personal preferences. There are several tags which helps to build destination directories and filenames. This includes time and date of download, URL of website, description of link and much more.
When a file is already present, user can choose whether the downloads should be renamed, aborted or overwritten. This gives the option to set maximum number of concurrent downloads. Further notifications can be customized and a person can choose amongst alert boxes, Firefox sidebox alerts, or nothing at all. If the user wants the source tab to be closed, dTa can close it when download starts. Moreover, user can choose the option for this software to be closed automatically when downloads finish.
