Searching for drivers can be exceptionally annoying even for those who are experienced with computers. There could be a huge variety of reasons why you would need to look up for drivers online. Maybe you have multiple devices that you need to update. Or perhaps, you bought a new graphics card but don’t have an optical drive on your PC to install the drivers from the included disc. Regardless, a driver seeker software would come quite in handy.
DriverIdentifier is one of those useful programs. And it is quite easy to use – you just need to download the software, install it, and you are all set up for searching for new drivers. Then, just press the “Scan” button for DriverIdentifier to start analyzing the hardware installed on your computer.
An interesting feature of DriverIdentifier is that it can help you even if you do not have internet connection on your computer. If you tick the “I do not have internet connection” box just below the “Scan” button, DriverIdentifier will analyze your PC and then will offer you to save an HTML file on your computer, which you then have to copy to a USB stick and launch on another computer with internet connection. Actually, DriverIdentifier creates an HTML file regardless of whether or not you have internet connection – the difference is that if you have connection, the program will just launch the file without saving.
Sounds and works great, but when you start to surf through the available drivers, you might become quite confused. As soon as you select update, you will receive a list of available drivers starting from newest to oldest. After you choose one, you have to start looking for the annoyingly inconspicuous download button. Getting to this point is harder than it should be.
Be mindful that you need to log in to the developer’s website to download drivers. If you are not signed in, they will suggest you to log in after you click the download button. Pretty easy to do via Google or Facebook, though we feel that the developer could go without the mandatory sign in.
