If you want to root your Android device and / or load an alternate ROM, you will first need to find the right procedure for your device. Nexus tablet and phone owners have a simple life in this direction - they only need a single but very powerful tool for all “advanced operations”. It is called the Nexus Root Toolkit and allows the user to control the device and its system almost completely.
The official site will tell you that with this tool you can unlock, root, lock, and unroot your Nexus. The application itself downloads all the necessary files and uploads them to the phone correctly.
You can also use the Nexus Root Toolkit:
Complete system backup and recovery including all data and settings.
Flash zip packs.
Set file permissions on your device.
Download and upload files from / to your device.
Generate logcat files.
All operations can be called up from the graphical interface - the application then executes the appropriate commands and checks their correct processing.
