Spectrider is the flagship high-resolution real-time spectrometer from Spritometer Limited. Its main use is in the educational and scientific sectors. One of its most notable and recognizable features is that it is mostly applied in areas where there is need for a complex and detailed analysis of analog signals. This brilliant program uses a series of strong code optimization and urbane algorithms. This is in order to bring out real-time spectrum analysis within an appropriate amount of time, while simultaneously showing the frequency resolution together with three-dimensional spectrogram visualization.
Spectrider supports various features and they include the following. One can choose between 3D and colored spectrum visualization. This software also has a high sampling rate, of between 11025Hz up to 44100Hz. This is a very efficient and reliable sampling rate. The signal range is just as powerful as the sampling rate, consisting of a range between 10dB and 90dB. The frequency filter range is quite wide, from 32 to 2048. This is wide enough for most testing and analysis. The weighting functions are also broad. There are five functions and they include Hann, rectangle, triangle, hamming and Blackman. When doing a thorough and complicated spectrum analysis, users can enjoy a wide variable frequency range.
The two main visualization modes are monochrome and colored, give users a chance to view and tabulate data more accurately. Spectrider also has pause mode. This helps users view data from various angles and interpret it with no rush. For quick and more efficient control of the program, specific hot keys can be used. Spectrider is compatible with Windows XP or higher. It also requires a 16-bit sound card with a microphone. In order to have quality 3D spectrum visualization, a Pentium IV computer or higher is required. For good quality 2D spectrum visualization to be achieved, a Pentium I or higher is required. The visualization is crystal clear and the data easy to extract.
